Is spiral ductwork more quiet than rectangular ductwork?

YES, ASHRAE says spiral is always more quiet than rectangular.
See this table from 2011 ASHRAE Applications.  WOW, a lot quieter!

    When I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked the -Notify me
    when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each
    time a comment is added I get four emails with the same
